Meet Aline
I’m Aline, a recipe developer, cooking instructor, certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®) and co-author of my recently launched cookbook – Happy Hormones: Recipes to Balance and Thrive.
I am also a practising strategic marketing communications consultant, empowered by purpose and mission-driven organisations that advocate for equality, sustainability and change for good.
Where it all began: a love for food and family
Most of my fondest childhood memories are of my mealtime experiences around the dining table, which was (and still is) the heart and soul of the home. I grew up around a family of food enthusiasts and inherited a deep love of cooking because of them. Many of the dishes I make and create are heavily inspired and influenced by my upbringing.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and being half English and half Chinese, I love creating recipes using a fusion of Asian and Western ingredients and flavours. I am motivated by the belief that food has the power to heal and I curate my recipes to make integrating whole foods and a plant-forward eating approach (relatively) uncomplicated, adaptable and most importantly, enjoyable.
Sincerely Aline: from passion to purpose
I started Sincerely Aline in 2019 as a passion project and creative outlet as I was going through a moment of being very much ‘stuck’ in life.
I originally created this platform as an outlet to express my love of all things food and to share comforting, everyday recipes. In the midst of starting this platform, I started doing private and group cooking classes and worked with a range of clients on creating recipes for their brands.
A vision for nourishment, community, and sustainability
Now, Sincerely Aline is a platform creating vibrant recipes to inspire individuals and communities to make flavourful, balanced meals packed full of wholesome ingredients, and to empower them to feel better through nourishing, nutritious food. Sincerely Aline is also about connecting and celebrating food with a focus on wellbeing and advocating for healthy and sustainable food systems.
I believe in the importance of food inclusivity and that everyone should have access to nutritious food, and I aspire to be part of positive change to help transform how people consume and think about food.
