Meet Aline

I’m Aline Davies, a Hong Kong based passionate home chef, recipe developer, cooking instructor, certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®) and co-author of my recently launched cookbook – “Happy Hormones: Recipes to Balance and Thrive.” 

I also have a background in strategic marketing communications, having previously worked across various industries in London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. I am passionate about supporting purpose-led businesses within the food, health and well-being sectors that advocate for sustainability and positive change.

A love for food and family

My fondest childhood memories revolve around mealtime experiences at the family dining table, which has always been (and continues to be) the heart and soul of the home. Growing up among a family of food enthusiasts, I inherited a deep passion for cooking and nourishing those close to me.

For me, cooking is more than a hobby; it’s a way of expressing creativity, a form of self-care, and a connection to my mixed Chinese and English heritage. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I was fortunate to be exposed to all kinds of diverse cuisines. Today, many of the dishes I create are a fusion of Asian and Western flavours, and are a reflection of my upbringing, culture, and the cherished memories of my family’s cooking. I create recipes that make integrating a whole-food, plant-forward approach uncomplicated, adaptable, and, most importantly, enjoyable. Food has a remarkable ability to connect, create a sense of belonging, link us to tradition, and provide nourishment.

Sincerely Aline: from passion to purpose

I started Sincerely Aline in 2019 as a passion project and creative outlet during a period when I felt very stuck in life. This platform became my space to express my love of all things food and share comforting, everyday recipes. Amidst launching the platform, I also began offering private and group cooking classes, selling artisanal sauces and plant-based treats in small batches, and collaborating with various clients to create recipes for their brands or nutrition programmes.

Today, Sincerely Aline is a platform dedicated to celebrating food, creating meaningful connections, and advocating for healthy, sustainable food systems. It is rooted in a deep belief that food has the power to heal and nourish. I want to inspire and empower individuals and communities to feel good through nourishing food and the joyful act of cooking approachable, wholesome recipes.

My work includes:

  • Customised hands-on cooking workshops and experiences 
  • Pop-up meals
  • Building partnerships with mission-driven individuals and organisations

I am also passionate about food inclusivity and believe everyone should have access to nutritious food. My aspiration is to contribute to a positive shift in how we consume and think about food.
